Research Assistant

Mica Chapuis

I recently graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Biology, where I participated in Stanford@SEA and worked on research projects on herbivorous reef fish grazing and coral adaptation to heat stress. My honors thesis, supervised by Dr. Fio Micheli, investigated the ecological consequences of the sea star die-off from wasting disease in the California Current region and I am currently writing this up as a peer-reviewed manuscript. I am currently working on Jamie McDevitt-Irwin’s project in the Chagos Archipelago analyzing pictures and videos and helping with intertidal fieldwork in Big Sur, CA.
