My research interests have a central theme of applying scientific research at the community level to promote sustainable resource use. Past projects have included the development of bioeconomic models, fisheries assessments, and market-based incentive structures related to coastal management and small-scale fisheries.
As a technician on the Micheli lab I work with a broad network of diverse partners to conduct field studies, including underwater ecological monitoring, the deployment and maintenance of oceanographic sensors, and ecological experiments along the Pacific coast of Baja, Mexico. I am working to develop applications and tools that will make our data and analysis available to all of our collaborators and stakeholders at every level.
